Welcome to Butterfield Farm
Located in the foothills of western Maine
Our off-grid solar powered farm is nestled on a hillside in the center of 130 acres of woods, field and apple orchard.
Call or email to schedule a visit to the farm this summer!
Liselle offers a beginner riding program for children and adults. Horses Brazen and Joe love teaching their people good horsemanship and riding skills.
Our 2014 program is full. Email Liselle to secure a reservation in the 2015 schedule.
Austin uses maple, cherry, applewood, butternut and other hardwoods harvested on our land to create astonishingly beautiful wooden bowls, yawara sticks, wooden spoons, signs and more.
Popular among farrier clients are stall signs, available for your horse or barn for $30.
Email us to place a custom order, or hear about his latest piece available for sale.
Join us in the fall for Cider-Making Day, when we'll invite folks to come help harvest apples and press them into delicious apple cider. We'll reserve a keg out to ferment into hard cider, which gets served the following spring at our annual "Apple Blossom Day", when friends of Butterfield Farm are invited up to view the blossoms at their peak.
